My dad died yesterday morning.

This happened:

I’m laughing more today than I have in a very long time. It is getting me in trouble. Journalists and government officials are taken aback, so I tell them, “I’m out of it right now, I’m sorry.” They say, “Oh, that’s fine. I understand.” Some of them are definitely lying.
